Kevin has brought a fresh perspective to everyday objects, salvaged from the landfill, and has introduced industrial design to the children of Mayotte. This project holds significant social and ecological dimensions. The artist's workshop aims to introduce a new form of expression through product design. Children are tasked with crafting chairs using waste materials found along roadsides and from the landfill. The message conveyed to the children is that even when an object is damaged, there is still an opportunity to reclaim it, make it their own, and give it a second life. Kevin empowers young Mahorais to reinterpret, transform, and blend objects from their daily lives and surroundings, giving them a new identity that reflects their own, thus prompting them to question their relationship with their environment.
